If you were free to settle in any location and were looking for financial advantage plus a great lifestyle, where would you go? What location has the ideal combination of high salaries, low taxes, low hardship and high social benefits?

To answer these questions AIRINC has created the Talent Attractiveness Index (working title) to evaluate and compare the attractiveness of 150 global locations according to weighted combination of financial and lifestyle metrics. This ranking evaluates how attractive a location is to potential employees, and employers.

The financial metrics are based on salary levels, tax rates and costs using AIRINC tools and tax models. The lifestyle metrics are based on an 'ideal' hardship score.

While there are many rankings out there on the best place to live this ranking is different in that it:
  • Has a global scope
  • A city level granularity
  • A combination of financial and lifestyle factors
  • Not based on survey respondents but instead utilizes AIRINC research
