Over 100 animals were saved and nursed back to health during the mission, with native species relocated to forever homes in Peru, over 30 lions airlifted to sanctuary in Africa and a tiger to Florida.   ADI top tips for being a kind traveler include avoiding attractions which feature performing animals; wildlife souvenirs; elephant rides; and having photos taken with captive wild animals.
